Overview

EBF4982780 (Common: EBF49827801 / 7803) is an OEM electronic door lock (interlock switch) for LG front‑loading washing machines, also compatible with select Kenmore models. It is a 4‑pin thermal delay lock that ensures safe operation by securing the door during wash and spin cycles.

Main Features

• Thermal delay lock structure: It adopts the thermal control principle of bimetallic strips. When powered on, it heats up and bends to lock the door. After power off, it needs a delay for cooling before it can be unlocked to prevent water leakage during the unlocking process.
• 4-pin electrical interface: Equipped with 4 6.3mm quick connectors, with a rated voltage of 250V and a current of 16 (6) A. It is compatible with various models of LG drum machines and can be used with old parts such as 6601ER1004D.
• Compact and durable design: Dimensions approximately 64×81mm, reinforced plastic casing + metal contacts, moisture-proof and shock-resistant, suitable for humid laundry environments.

Installation

• Power outage. Remove the door seal and the retaining ring, take out the old door lock and unplug the wiring harness.
• Connect the plug, secure the screws of the new door lock.
• Put back the door seal and the retaining ring.
• Power on and test the door lock function.
